The site specific 『Biotope of Sounds』 was created during the Art-Me-Go art festival in Hualien, Taiwan. It makes use of a corner in the exhibition space, a traditional soy sauce manufacturer. This sunny corner has already a lot of plants, so it inspired this piece to merge with this unique environment. Throughout this corner there are placed numerous independent sound producing entities, that are interconnected. Through an interface in form of a flower, the audience is encouraged to influence the behavior of the installation, and interact with it. In terms of sound design the installation is also inspired by natural sounds and rather organic, without trying to imitate particular animals and rather create a new kind of bio-synthetic network.
