It is a sound creating circuit in form of a bird, that means the body of the bird is only wires and electric components, forming the circuit that is creating the sounds and amplify them to play them on a speaker inside the house. The house of the bird is made of copper wires, as well as driftwood from the local beach. The roof consists of two solar panels, feeding the circuit with electricity. That means the birds chirping is highly dependent of the weather situation at each time. It will call loudly and vigorously at sunshine, calm and quiet when the sun is hidden behind clouds, and at night it will go to sleep. The spectator can interact with the bird by covering the solar panels with their shadows, thus influencing the electricity the circuit receives.
